established under the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2001.
The Purpose & Use of our Personal Information
As a financial planning organisation we are subject to legislation
and regulations requiring us to obtain and keep detailed information
that personally identifies you and/or contains information or an
opinion about you. In addition, our ability to provide you with
comprehensive financial planning, superannuation and life insurance
services and advice depends on us obtaining certain personal information
about you, including -
* Employment
details and history
* Details of your financial needs and objectives
* Details of your current financial circumstances, including your
actual and potential assets and liabilities, income, expenditure,insurance
cover, investments and superannuation
* Details of your investment preferences and aversion or tolerance
to risk
* Details of your health for insurance and superannuation purposes
* Information about your employment history, employment circumstances,
family commitments and social security eligibility
* Details of your Estate Planning requirements
The quality
of the personal information you supply can affect the adequacy or
appropriateness of the services and advice we give and can thus
expose you to increased risk.
We do not collect
any personal information except when you authorise us or a third
party to do so. Gathering personal information will generally take
place in face to face interviews, by telephone, or by an online
client engagement form. At times, additional updated personal information
may also need to be collected by one or more of these methods.
We will only
collect, maintain and use your personal information to adequately
provide the services you have requested including preparation of
your Financial Plan.

* Consideration of other areas relevant to your needs and objectives
* Administration or advice about your Superannuation and Life Insurance

We will not
use or disclose your personal information for anypurpose other than

* For which
it was provided, or secondary related purposes in circumstances
where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure
* Where you have consented to such disclosure
* Where National Privacy Principles authorise use or disclosure
as required or authorised under law, in circumstances relating to
public health and safety, and in connection with operations by or
on behalf of an enforcement body.
To ensure ongoing
compliance with mandatory professional standards, we are required
under the Rules of Professional Conduct of the Financial Planning
Association of Australia to make certain information available for
inspection by the Association on request, and this may involve the
disclosure of your personal information. We are also obliged by
the Corporations Act to maintain certain transaction records and
make them available for inspection by the Australian Securities
and Investments Commission.
We may use your
personal information for direct mailings such as articles and newsletters,
but will cease doing so upon your request.
We may disclose
your personal information to superannuation fund trustees, insurance
providers, and product issuers as necessary to your financial plan,
superannuation fund or life insurance requirements, and our recommendations.
We may disclose
your personal information to contractors providing services such
as taxation or legal advice as required as part of our services
to you.
In order to
ensure that you receive tailored personal service, your personal
information may be transferred to one of our agents or authorised
representatives who will be your primary point of contact with the
organisation. It is a condition of our agreement with each of our
representatives that they adopt and adhere to this privacy policy.
You can be assured
that any representative will maintain your information in accordance
with this policy. If you have any concerns in this regard, please

Our Privacy
Obligations
It is a condition of our agreement with each of our external contractors
that they adopt and adhere to this privacy policy. You may be assured
that your information will be maintained by any contractor to whom
it is disclosed in accordance with this policy. Please let us know
if you have any concerns in this regard.
In the event
that we propose to sell our business, we may disclose your personal
information to potential purchasers for the purpose of them conducting
due diligence investigations.
Any such disclosure
will be made in confidence, and it will be a condition of that disclosure
that no personal information will be used or disclosed by them.
In the event that a sale of our business is effected, we may transfer
your personal information to the purchaser of the business. As a
client you will be advised of any such transfer.
Your Information
is Secure and Accurate
Your personal information is generally held in your client file.
Information may also be held in a computer database. At all times
we will seek to ensure that the personal information collected and
held by us is protected and is treated as confidential, with any
sensitive information treated as highly confidential. All paper
files are stored in lockable cabinets that are locked outside of
normal business hours. All computer-based information is protected
by access passwords on each computer, and data is regularly backed
up and stored securely off site.
If you cease
to be our client, your personal information will be maintained in
a secure storage facility for seven years to comply with legislative
and professional requirements, following which
time the information may be destroyed.
We will endeavour
to ensure that your personal information is current and accurate
at all times. If you have evidence that any of your personal information
that we hold is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, please contact
us, and if we agree that the information requires correction, we
will take all reasonable steps to do so.
Access to our
Personal Information
At any time you may request access to your personal information,
and, subject to the following exceptions, we will provide you with
either copies of the information requested, allow you to inspect
the information requested, or provide an accurate summary of the
information held. Prior to providing access, we will require you
toprovide evidence of your identity.
We will not
provide you with access to personal information that would reveal
any confidential formulae or the detail of any inhouse evaluative
decision making process, but may instead provide you with the result
of the formulae or process, or an explanation of that result.
We will not
provide you with access to your personalinformation if -
* It would
pose a serious threat to the life or health of a person
* Providing access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy
of others
* The request for access is frivolous or vexatious
* The information related to existing or anticipated legal proceedings
between us and would not be discoverable in those proceedings
* It would prejudice our negotiations with you
* Providing access would be unlawful
* Denying access is required or authorised by law
* Providing access would be likely to prejudice operations by an
enforcement body, or an enforcement body requests that access not
be provided on the grounds of national security
In the event
that we refuse access to your personal information, we will provide
you with an explanation.
What to Do if
You Have a Problem
If you wish to complain about any breach or potential breach of
this privacy policy or the National Privacy Principles, contact
us and request that your complaint be directed to the Privacy Officer.
Your complaint will be considered as soon as possible and responded
to. It is our intention to resolve any complaint to your satisfaction,
however, if you are unhappy with our response, you are entitled
to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissionerwho may investigate
your complaint further.

Our web site contains links to other web sites whose operator may
or may not adhere to a privacy policy or be governed by the National
Privacy Principles. Our web site may utilise cookies, which allow
us to identify your browser while you are using our site. Cookies
do not identify you, but simply allow us to track usage patterns
to measure the level of interest in various areas of our site. All
browsers allow you to be notified when you receive a cookie and
elect to either accept it or not. Your Internet serviceprovider
